Give your day a powerful alkalizing start by drinking a glass of warm water and fresh lemon Juice before you do anything else.  It helps the body flush away the liver’s by-products that have built up overnight.  Use a straw to drink with so that the slight increase in acid doesn’t harm your tooth enamel.

Lemons contain vitamin C which is vital in keeping our skin looking young.  It’s high vitamin C content helps with speedy skin repair – a process that slows as we age.

Lemons help to improve indigestion by stimulating your stomachs digestive juices and in turn helping to control bloating, heartburn, constipation and other uncomfortable stomach issues.  As a result of good digestion you can drop pounds in weight – A diet that is high in vitamin C creates a better digestive process resulting in weight lose.

Lemons also help the body rid itself of excess water retention.

But critically, lemon juice helps to lower Low density lipoprotein (LDL) which is the bad cholesterol.  If your blood is high in bad cholesterol it can build up in the walls of your blood vessels, causing them to narrow.

And when it comes to detoxing, lemons are known as a hero product.  Stimulating the liver and pancreas to function more effectively so flushing away waste products more efficiently.

When buying lemons try to always buy organic un-waxed product.  Look for the thinned skinned yet heavy type as these will contain more juice.
